Are these courses accredited?+
Figuro-Learn courses are not accredited by SAQA, SETA, or any professional body at this stage. They are industry-aligned training courses built directly on SANS 10330:2020, SANS 10049, and Codex Alimentarius — the same standards your auditor uses. They are designed to build genuine competency, not to issue certificates for compliance theatre. If you need accredited training for a specific certification scheme, we will tell you that clearly.
What's the difference between HACCP Fundamentals and the Combined course?+
HACCP Fundamentals covers the seven HACCP principles and the twelve Codex steps — the knowledge you need to build and manage a HACCP plan. Prerequisite Programmes covers the GMP and hygiene controls that must be in place before HACCP can function. The Combined course (HACCP + PRP: Complete Compliance Toolkit) gives you both in one enrolment at a saving of R600. If you're building a full food safety system, the Combined course is the right starting point.
Do I need any prior food safety knowledge?+
No. The courses are designed for food business operators and managers who understand their production process but may have no formal food safety training. Each module starts with the why before the what, and jargon is explained in plain language before it's used. If you've ever had to explain your HACCP plan to an auditor and felt uncertain, these courses were built for exactly that situation.
Will these courses help me pass a BRCGS or FSSC audit?+
These courses will build the knowledge that underpins both BRCGS and FSSC 22000 food safety requirements — HACCP and PRP competency is foundational to both schemes. They will not guarantee audit success on their own, and they don't claim to. An audit pass depends on your documented system, your verification records, and your team's ability to demonstrate that the system is live and understood.
